Brain Camp! Is an ongoing series of workshops that takes you on a journey through your brain.
We look our environment, the expectations of our social world, the private inner world we inhabit, and delve into the ways our brain manages, controls, and protects us.
This workshop is informed by 100 years of research and many years of experience by the authors of the program. It is not a class in brain science or therapy for people that need help. We engage in the play that helps us lear and ultimately leaves participants seeing themselves through an expanded frame of reference.
Do you know how your brain works?
Of course, it runs the works, lungs, heart, balances our temperature, springs into action when a tiger chases us and melts our heart when viewing cat videos. It comes to life when we need it most.
Mostly, out brain protects us, job number one.
It has many automatic/autonomic functions, constantly on the lookout, sensing, measuring, managing our time, delivering our babies, making possible the many emotions, opinions, talents and despairs that every human experiences.
Understanding your brain is the truest, physical measure for understanding yourself. It shows everything we are and do.
So, here is our premise—the better someone understands something, the more likely it is they will be able to anticipate and control it.
Thinking of your brain as a separate entity helps to understand what it is doing when we are not fully conscious of it.
Brain Camp is not a course in neurology, neuroscience, or anatomy, though we use these perspectives to inform everything. It is an experience grounded in practical understanding.
At Brain Camp! We learn and experience in a way that accelerates our understanding.
Brain Camp! will change you.
